DRONE / AERIAL FILMING
Medium Drone
The DJI Inspire is the industry standard.
It was the first filmmaking drone in the world to integrate an HD video transmission system, 360° rotating gimbal and a 4K camera.
Currently swinging the X5S or X7.
Small Drone
There are a couple of small drone options, again, if more discretion is required. The infamous DJI Mavic Pro, and our new favouritel the DJI Mini - which, due to it's weight-class, you can fly in built up areas... just so long as you're doing it safely, sensibly and respectfully.
The cameras do have their limitations but in the right conditions, they do a fantastic job.
Large Drone
If, on the other hand, pristine image quality is what you need, you'll want an octocopter to lift the heavier camera.
There are several custom builds available, as well options from DJI and Freefly.
In exchnage for beautiful footage that will match easily with the rest of your film, expect additional set-up time, more flight restrictions and limitations on speed.
FPV
If high speed is what you want, these little drones aren't just quick, they're nimble too - meaning you can turn on a penny to get some of the most dynamic shots. Most are custom built and our expert pilots say to steer clear of DJI's version.
See the film we recently shot for Audi to see some incredible FPV in action.
